Mobile Theme Editing (NOKIA|Jave OS|.NTH)
Mobile theme editing is quite fun;
especially .nth format themes runs
in Java OS based phones(NOKIA). You can change your phone’s
wallpaper, menu icons, theme colors, icon highlights, calender backgrounds etc.
as you like. Actually it is quite simple and you can customize your phone’s
theme without going online or downloading from any theme store. To do this
download two mobile application BlueFTP.jar
and MobiExplore.jar
on your Java OS based phone. You can also edit with Winrar.exe and Notepad.exe runs on any Windows
OS based desktop or laptop. For editing a theme you need to follow some
simple steps.
1.
First you
need to run BlueFTP(v1.60)
on your mobile.
[For PC open a .nth file
with winrar.]
2.
After
running BlueFTP go to a theme folder
and select a theme(.nth) file on
your file system then go to “option” and
select “open” to open it. Here you
can see many files of different formats (Ex:
.jpg, .png, .gif, .swf).
[In winrar on PC you will
also see those files.]
3. Now go to “option” select “select all” to select all these files. Then select “Extract selected items” or press ”key 1” to extract all these files in
any folder or in a “New Folder”.
[On PC you also need to extract those files.]

Open the
folder in which you have extracted those files. Now you can replace wallpaper or menu background or calendar background or screensaver with new ones you like. Just keep those files name same as before.
( Ex: before= file.jpg/.swf|after= file.jpg/.swf)
- You can also replace menu icons and loadind bar animation by same process.
(Ex: before=file.png|after=file.png||before=file.gif/.swf| after=file.gif/.swf)
- You can also replace ringtones and transformation tone (Slide phones) by doing the same thing.
( Ex: before= file.mp3/.aac/.wav|after= file.mp3/.aac/.wav)
[On PC you have to do the same thing.]

After
replacing all these files, again select all files in that folder. Now compress
these files by selecting “Compress items
(nth)”. After compressing you will find out a theme file(.nth). “Exit” the application go in that folder run that file(.nth) and you will get a new theme.
[Compress
all selected files with winrar in ZIP(.zip) or RAR(.rar) format. After compressing just
rename it from .zip/.rar to .nth . Then run it on
mobile.]
More: After
extracting all files you will find out a file theme_descriptor.xml. It is theme database file. It can edited by Notepad. You can change theme color by changing
color codes (Ex: "0xffffff")
here in this database (.xml) file.
